Gift giving

Ticketamerica.com has college seats for very good teams in the NCAA that include the Southern Methodist Mustangs, Southern Miss Golden Eagles and the great St. Bonaventure Bonnies teams.

Good thing I was able to saw that online while finishing off my Christmas list last Holiday Season. My uncle is one avid fan of NCAA and what better gift I could give to him but NCAA tickets. I actually bought 2 tickets for each team so he was so surprise when he opened his present. Inside were southern methodist mustangs tickets, southern miss golden eagles tickets and st bonaventure bonnies tickets. I can’t forget how wide his smile was. Now, he is bugging his dear wife to come with him watch his fave teams play in NCAA.

Are You Giving Kindness?

Give a little kindness to the world today. Give a little kindness, and you’ll see how it much it grows. For the kindness you give never goes away. The more you give, the more there is.

Even when it seems that the kindness you give is not being appreciated, there is real value in it. Even when it seems that it doesn’t mean anything to anyone else, it means something to you.

Invest your time and effort in kindness, and there is no limit to the good it can bring. For a kindness, once offered, can keep on replicating itself long after you’ve forgotten about it.

And eventually that kindness, after going and growing through the many lives it touches, will come back to you. You may not even recognize it because of how much bigger and more beautiful it has grown.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

child in the snowHow would you explain to a child why it will never snow here in our country?

How would you explain to a child why he was born here and not in a country where there is snow?

How would you explain to a child why no matter how many times he’ll pray to Papa Jesus, it will never snow here?

My child, Mom and Dad will do everything possible thing we could for you the able to experience snow even just once in your lifetime.

Are You Thankful?

When you feel the impulse to be judgmental, let that be a cue for you to first be thankful. When you discover that you’re focusing on what’s wrong, use that as a reminder of all the many things that are right.

Immediately upon waking each morning, think of ten things you are grateful for at the moment. As you fall asleep at the end of the day, fill your thoughts with thankfulness for the good and valuable blessings in your life.

Give the power of your thoughts to the positive influences in your world, and they will become more influential. Remind yourself often of what works well, and you’ll naturally find ways to make many other things work well.

The way to enjoy success is not to study failure. The way to experience success is to extend and expand the success you already know. Begin each day, end each day, and live each day with a sincerely thankful heart. And as each day passes, you’ll have more and more for which to be thankful.

Christmas wishlist (part 2)

It’s Claire’s turn! Although she still doesn’t understand nor enjoy Christmas, there is no harm in asking gifts from Santa too. Here you go for her list.

1. Philips Avent Polypropylene bottles (9 oz) – There is a seller in ebay.ph (quack_oink) that sells this cheaper than anyone else. I bought the first batch of bottles for my little girl but she still needs 4 more bottles.

2. Munchkin Mighty Grip Flip Straw cup (10 oz) – She really needs to have her own water bottle as they always fight for Joshua’s water bottle whenever we go out.

3. Minnie Mouse stuffed doll – Her brother’s addiction to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has made her a fan of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Move over Dora the Explorer, she doesn’t know you.

4. Flip Flops – Like her brother, she needs one that is sturdy.

5. Crocs – She also needs a footwear she can use whenever we or she goes out aside from her pink boots and white sandals.

These are all wishes. Any gift given to my kids will be received with much joy. Besides, kids’ happiness is as simple as giving them a piece of candy.

Christmas wishlist (part 1)

Joshua is now on his age when he fully understands why are we celebrating Christmas. He believes in Santa Claus and asks for gifts from him too. Only if we can give all his wishes, but here is the top 5 on his list (and mine too.)

1. Board books – He is learning to read so it’s nice to have board books that he can share with his little sister.

2. Hot Wheels Wall Tracks (starter set) – This is actually his wish for Santa and he keeps on going back on this set whenever he sees one in a toy store.

3. Flip Flops – He needs one that is durable. Need I say the reason why?

4. Crocs – He also needs a footwear he can use whenever we or he goes out aside from his trusty Converse All Star Sneakers.

5. Sando – I prefer plain white sando for his everyday use.

There you go. Up next is his little sister’s wishlist. I hope his godparents drop by this blog so they can have an idea on what to give my young boy this season.
